Not to mention the hours spent getting back and forth to work. People have begun to work to live rather than live to work.

The pandemic forced the corporations to break the social contract between employer and employee. Massive layoffs of hourly employees gave the employees a different perspective on their employment. It ain't rocket science.

Perhaps a better question would be why did corporations continue to pay investors with PPP funds instead of keeping their hourly employees paid?

@dalejames8576 I'm certain you are stunned quite frequently, hourly in fact.

@dalejames8576 Um, children will at least learn the difference between your and you're. What's your excuse?

@annebreitrick6116 From what I have witnessed in my life, the outrageous weight problems of average Americans is an outgrowth of too many hours spent on jobs with too low pay, and the explosion of fast food. Both mom and dad work, so no one has time to cook healthy meals. Oh look, there's a Mickey Ds!

@Mncrr And I'm not saying that. But we should also be aware of the trade-offs we make in our strive for "more and better". I can say that some of my trade-offs came at too high a price. But now I can make it up with the grands.

@RobDeSaster Today will be a day of deflection, not reflection, for Fox. We'll get four more Hunter stories, two on UFOs, and perhaps a random bear attack or something. Magas will tune out when faced with truth and Murdoch needs the green.

@Mncrr That's very nice for you, if you believe you've lived well. I also worked non-stop long hours, from a young age. My regrets are few, but two are: missing time with my children and taking more time for myself. It's always a balance, but many times I'd tip the scale for the job. 🤷♂️

@annebreitrick6116 I'd bet, swanjade. How to spin them facts, eh? I doubt it's possible.
