Why does this stuff always seem to happen in red states, Texas and Florida? Weird.

@AnAmericanPatriot1555 Well, I'll tell you that my daughter goes to a charter school in my blue state and they focus exclusively on core subjects, like advanced English and advanced Mathematics and college preparatory work. None of this nonsense. That's what I find strange. Why red states?

@AnAmericanPatriot1555 I always hear the excuse about "this is a liberal city...". This is a charter school managed by the Texas Board of Education. Full stop. As for my daughter's education, we discuss what happens each day, in each class, during our dinnertime conversations. Communication is key.

@AnAmericanPatriot1555 And, as I mentioned, my daughter attends a charter school. This means each and every one of us parents takes part in the school. I serve on two committees created by the Parents Board which oversees the instruction of our children.

@AnAmericanPatriot1555 I don't think the teacher is a predator. We can agree that this game is highly inappropriate for schools. I also learned of hookers at age 13, but it was on a visit to a large city and a Canadian kid, also my age, pointed out the "hookers". This precipitated a bigger conversation about what "hookers" means. Hookers exist. One will learn about them.

@johnmichaels4172 Sure. But, what is the motivation for hiding something like this? Mostly, I know my kids lie about the same stuff I used to lie to my parents about...and it mostly revolves around their own self-indulgent ideas, not about what they are taught in school. Use common sense.
