@nutt66 It was 2003. The headlines on the Fox readerboards in Times Square were screaming for Iraq. Murdoch went to London to visit Blair to ensure their backing and involvement. I was marching up 5th Ave protesting with another 999,999 people. But W and this media won out. Fox went on 24/7 coverage and Murdoch made billions. It ain't the red or the blue, it's the green.

@nutt66 Murdoch owned 248 news outlets at the time. Every single one backed, encouraged and promoted the Iraq invasion. Independent journalism indeed, eh? We have met the enemy and it is here, spewing trash in our country.

@Kim-sq9gp That tide is turning slowly. This media is loud and strong. It has legislators in positions of power who think, talk, and do just as this media wants. They are so intertwined, in such a position of symbiosis that one cannot exist without the other. They fight hard.
