@JustDoingChelle I am sorry you are having a tough time, I honestly am. I do see things quite differently than you, though. You mention troubles you had during the pandemic without acknowledging the how states were left to devise their own strategies because of the lack of national leadership. I personally felt in 2019 that Trump would be easily reelected, but 2020 showed most Americans his weaknesses. I could give you many examples, but what's the point? The worst, IMHO, was his overarching push for reelection rather than running the country. The resultant need for recovery and how devastated all facets of the economy (and society) became further serve to highlight his leadership inadequacies. A good leader surrounds himself with good people and allows them to do their jobs. A poor leader decides "only I can fix it". I was born and raised in the PNW and KNOW how and why life has changed there. I left for school as the flood from California began and the shift from a primarily blue-collar economy clashed with the white-collar influx. I was also then informed by Reagan to pull on my own boot straps; in essence to not await a governmental solution to any personal problems, but rather to take responsibility for my own circumstances. And so I have.
