Well, Nehls is about halfway to the truth now. He has the whole riot/insurrection/white supremacists thing/big lie thing right. But fails to understand that the Capitol Police board directs the Capitol Police in consultation with the Sargents-in-arms for both the house and the senate. Neither sargent-in-arms felt the National Guard was necessary until 1pm on 1/6. Neither the speaker of the house nor senate majority leader are much involved with day-to-day operations of the Capitol Police. But nice try on the deflection.

No weapons? Well, except for the 460 people charged with carrying guns onto the Capitol grounds. Oh and the clubs. Oh yeah, almost forgot those flagpoles used as clubs and spears. But other than that....oh wait, yeah, there were those pepper sprays and bear sprays...oh, and the two bombs as well. But other than all those things, yep no weapons.
