Partisan politics is the obvious problem. It keeps us in thrall. Parties should be abolished and the issues surrounding that will subside. It will, of course, happen to the detriment of billion dollar media empires who would fight these changes. Imagine how the focus of campaigns and the actions of the elected would change. No one beholden to the systemic rot of a party. Red v blue is a worn out trope.
