It was 6 Republicans and 1 Independent who were plaintiffs in the Colorado suit. This is an inconvenient fact for most right-wingers. Also, public polling in Colorado supports this ruling, which simply removes Trump from the primary ballot.

@listlessvessels5 I've been Independent since 2000. It's been a mixed bag, because for most of that time I couldn't vote in primary elections. I've always picked the best between the two party choices. I am am friends with several registered Republicans in CO. Half of them support this decision, but the guys I know have been Republicans for many decades and many don't see Trump as a true republican in their view of republican values. My neighbor and closest republican friend is disgusted by the GOP support for Trump and has said he'll sit out '24 if it's Trump v Biden.

@listlessvessels5 As a realist, I know that SCOTUS will strike this down. They will. But as you mentioned their ruling will affect the '24 election to the detriment of the GOP. As will the Dobbs decision.

@halfcrazyoldchristianredne895 Truth about some foreigners idea of American politics? I just don't care about foreigners ideas of American politics just as I don't care about the politics of any country but my own. That's the truth. Most foreigners views of American politics is filtered through the lens of their thoughts of their own country's politics. In other words, their ideas mean little to nothing here.

@halfcrazyoldchristianredne895 No, it isn't the truth. It is their truth, which as I said amounts to the value of the electrons used in their posts. In other words, nothing. Why don't you give me your opinion of Australian politics right now? You know how much your views of them would matter? Not at all. Here's an example why: do you understand that Australia has a medicare for all system and has had it for many decades? The idea is normal to them. Their ideas of what conservative and liberal mean do not jibe with ours. Same with Canadians. Our Democrats policies are considered conservative in most European countries. Does this better explain why foreigners views of American politics is inconsequential? I know it does, but I'll bet that you'll disagree simply because these foreigners are saying something you like right now.
