I can think of a dozen instances in my own life wherein I could say I "perceived" a threat. With your ideology, I could have legally been a 12x killer with no consequences. Which idea is more chaotic?

  9.  @georgejungle3095  Weird. We don't call our town a neighborhood and we certainly don't go around strangling strangers. We did have a guy a few years ago who was prone to psychotic episodes, but luckily his family was able to have him helped in a long-term care facility. Unfortunately, this isn't the case for too many families. The shame rests with the lack of systemic help.

  11.  @debbydeloach  Or just maybe, a man decided to take the law into his own hands and strangle a man he "perceived" as a threat. I can imagine the fun we'd have if just anyone could run around killing people, saying "I am God's vengeance!".
