@Plisken65 Obama lives in your brain rent free. Oh and btw, Crimea was invaded about two years later. Do a little research instead of parroting "Facebook Facts". The referenced comment was about ongoing talks with Russia on missile defense deployments into Ukraine.

@rylez42 You quote politicians from a tiny, ultra right-wing party of Germany as if they have a voice for Germany. Hah! Maybe you can get some quotes from the Communist Party USA (they exist!) or the Christian Liberty Party (also, can't believe they exist) or wherever else you can find a favorable quote. Thing is, I have never understood why the Russian people don't want to better trust the West. Why focus on isolationism? Why put up with so many folks just getting by, living in Soviet era apartments. The country has enormous wealth, but a tiny GDP and the wealth is concentrated in the hands of very few people. I believe that it's because the people remember Soviet control and see the current state of Russia to be slightly better. But certainly not as good as it can be. Just quit being so weirdly defensive...

@rylez42 Oh, and btw, the world warned Putin of consequences of invading a sovereign nation. He has further isolated Russia from profitable trade with the rest of the world. There are only a handful of countries now willing to trade, but those countries know they have the upper hand because Russia is now cash-strapped. China and India will now dictate the trade to their benefits...
