@raymondappleby9839 I have a few questions for you Raymond: I have seen you suggest you are Australian and wonder how many times you have been to the US?

@hellotime3394 As mentioned previously, the breakdown of society does quite honestly correspond with the breakdown of language. Do you care about American society? Do you want to see our country succeed? I hear much about "great again" and yet no one speaks of a recent period of greatness to strive towards. I posit the 1950s and 1960s might be considered to be one era of success. We truly became a super-power and our financial sectors were screaming hot. Our scientific advancements were amazing. Do you know what drove these advances? The GI bill post-war educations had by hundreds of thousands of returned GIs. Do you think we built advanced rocketry and made it to the moon by allowing letters and numbers and spellings to wither? Folks love to whine about society as they watch it crumble around themselves... But that must be Biden's or Trump's fault, amiright???

@bearowen5480 Do you know what is also exemplary of a poor education? Reading comprehension, such as answering a user named Steven and calling him Tabby. All those strange, shaped symbols when typed have actual meaning....

@hellotime3394 I believe the word you are searching for is you're , as in "you're slick" and "you're silly". It is a contraction of the words you and are and the point of contraction is designated with an apostrophe. All things you could have learned in the fifth grade. Jeepers, for part of the "English-only" club you sure don't know how to use the language.

@hellotime3394 Why are you satisfied with this devolution of society? English conservatives have been screaming for years (and at this point I need you to understand that I both hate them and agree with them on this one point) about how the breakdown of the English language, the inability of English speakers to use it correctly, corresponds with the breakdowns of society.

@hellotime3394 Weird how you equate proper use of English with college degrees and professors. I was a college professor and yet have only a high school diploma. And can operate many types of weaponry and can even teach others how to operate many types of weaponry at a distance using language skills. I hated English class. But I had a great teacher who told me I could get far by learning to use language properly. He went as far as to tell me that I didn't need a degree to be educated, but I did need to be educated to some degree. He was quite prescient.

@hellotime3394 Now, I will not assume that English is your first language nor your only language, but if it is I do suggest you do better. Reading is fundamental to language skills and if you have enough time to browse and post on YT, you certainly have enough time to read. It will take you far.
