@cram6916 Your idea may create consequences which would need to be thought through before a change was made. I can envision that with those changes there would be a "race to the youngest". There are no requirements about age or education for a scotus judge detailed in the constitution. A president could nominate a 16 year old partisan and they might well succeed to the court if the president's party controls the Senate. Oof. Sometimes the glaring holes in the constitution are obvious and yet folks say they look for "strict constitutionalists"... They love it until they don't.
