  6. The Russians presented evidence that Paul Whelan was handed a flashdrive of information by an FSB agent he was acquainted with. Set up? Lies? Truth? Who knows? His family was in the midst of a wedding and he just disappeared for a day. His family found that very strange.

  9.  @TROLLBUSTER12  Paul Whelan was given a bad conduct discharge at his court martial hearing. Which is neither here nor there as it relates to my comment. My comment was in regards to which country would seek his release and/or to which country he would return. Citizenship in US? Yes. Citizenship in Canada? Yes. Citizenship in Ireland? Yes. Citizenship in UK? Yes. Maybe the UK has someone Russia wants to trade for. Or Canada. Or Ireland. His backstory of capture and imprisonment in Russia involves a flashdrive, an FSB agent and a whole lot of strange occurrences. Hard to know the real story and I doubt we'll ever know. And yeah, I think it's good to seek his return, but also think it'll need to be in exchange for a Russian spy. Let's find one and imprison one...
