  5. ​ @hardenedsap  Sure, I'll explain: deterrence only works with complete black-out security. If an enemy knows what was once hidden, the value of deterrence is diminished. The value of of nuclear weapons in a nuclear stalemate is not just the simple possession of these weapons, but in the value of your enemy not knowing where/when/how these weapons are deployed. We lost some of that with a slip of the lip for simple boasting purposes.

  8.  @annebreitrick6116  A curious happenstance occurred in July. My nephew, a nuclear submariner, was recalled after having been dry-docked for continued education. It was supposed that he was done with life at sea, but was oddly recalled for some reason. Perhaps there is an explanation, but we will never know.
