  3.  @unboxedcharacter  Yes, absolutely. Nothing strengthens and enriches a country more than an educated populace. The post-war GI bill educated the workforce which made this country great.

  4.  @unboxedcharacter  The larger problem is not the fault of the average educated post war populace, but rather the way that corporate-lobbyist-politician cabal grew in strength. To be non-partisan, it was corporate influenced politicians of both sides who encouraged this relationship. Greed has been the main driver. Business is good. Corporations can be good. Completely unfettered corporations though are bad. Look at Nordic Model governance to see what a productive capitalist society can look like. The closest we ever came to this was during the Eisenhower administration. And then the lawyers and lobbyists took over.
