  8.  @josephgaviota  At its core, the quote from Trump was in defense of people protesting the removal of a statue of Robert E Lee, a man who led an army against the United States of America. As defined by the Constitution, a traitor guilty of treason. The fact that he was never tried for treason is irrelevant. The fact that he fought in order to continue slavery is relevant. There is no way to defend the indefensible.
