@craigmitchell2828 Ah, I see. And, I agree to a certain extent. Government, in theory, is a good and necessary thing. Government in practice though is messy and generally unattractive. And it always becomes more, not less, expensive. What I believe (and I don't believe will ever happen) is that government should be stripped down to it's essential core to become right-sized. Therein lies the crux...what is essential? Safety? Health of populace? Education? Transportation? Commerce? Interface with other countries? I look at various forms of governance worldwide and can see the good and evil in them. Generally, the evil comes from greed, power seeks absolute power. It is very true that it becomes intoxicating. After all these millennia we are never too far from feudalism. The problem with attempting popular change is that if it happens there are usually a few who will subvert even the popular change to their own will. I believe it to be a human nature which we need to get past.

@Mike Arnold Exciting words, Mikhail. Your favorite little gang leader has brought a world of hurt to you for a very long time. Have fun trying to rejoin society....in about 50 years if you're lucky. Patton was right all those years ago, he should have just kept on marching. Best thing the Russians can do at this point is to offer up Putin in chains and beg the world for forgiveness.
