@odelldaniel7868 Weird, didn't Billy Barr just run it for several years? He ran interference for Reagan during Iran/Contra and for Trump during Mueller, so you can't say he isn't a staunch republican. And he was in charge of the whole of DOJ...

@odelldaniel7868 That's a weird deflection, but if you really want to know my thoughts: Biden served his purpose back in November 2020. I was sad to see that he was what the dnc was throwing out there based simply on their polling. Obviously elections in the US have more to do with name recognition than policies. Hence Fox's recent push (putsch?) of Ron DeSantis. Hell, I'd vote for a guy like Tim Scott if he had a snowball's chance, but Fox is gearing DeSantis up for his run. That's what I really think. America decided against Trump, so Fox comes up with Trump-Lite. If Biden is still alive to run in '24 Fox will make sure DeSantis is elected. And here we go again.... We don't get the leaders we deserve, just the ones crammed down our throats.

@odelldaniel7868 Trump is toast. Radioactive. Fox knows this and is now pushing DeSantis. They'll have folks sold on DeSantis before anyone knows anything about him. What I don't like about him so far is that he is too blatant in his ingratiation to maga followers. I want to know who he is instead of who he wants to be seen as. Why not Tim Scott or Ben Sasse? I don't want a popularity contest, I want someone to run this country for all Americans.

@odelldaniel7868 I want a president who leads for all Americans. And our country has never stopped taking immigrants, for example you may want to check your own family tree. Funny thing, my ancestors were here before America was a thing and yet I'm not complaining about all the johnny-come-latelys. What strikes me as strange are the children of immigrants complaining about other immigrants. Pffft.

@odelldaniel7868 From my perspective we didn't "need" immigrants 200 or 400 years ago. But they showed up anyways. Every migrant wave in US history had incurred the same xenophobia. Every. Single. One. And as mentioned, it's always the children of immigrants trying to slam the door on the next wave. Good thing that's never worked.
