@bill1589 I'd rather borrow money for infrastructure than borrow it to pay for tax cuts for billionaires and corporations. I've found work building roads and bridges, but those tax cuts never do trickle down...

@bill1589 Yeah, these things always take time no matter who passes the bill. I wanted infrastructure back in 2017 and wish it'd been done then. Maybe we'd be building now.

Woah there....one at a time. Impeach Biden and Harris becomes President. She'll probably make AOC her VP, so be careful what you wish for. Besides, if Republicans impeach Biden the senate dems will acquit him just as repubs acquitted Trump. It takes 67 senators to remove a president.

@ronaldduchac7396 Hahaha, they don't need any help being bogged down.

Good luck with that thought. Both the RNC and DNC are more concerned with "winning" rather than decent governance. I'd like to see either Tim Scott or Ben Sasse in '24, but that'll never happen.

Good, don't.

Republicans talking as if they never had power before. They passed tax cuts for billionaires instead of the border wall. Didn't want to discuss limits on federal and executive power when they had all the power. Now they talk a good game, but it seems they just want control again. Why? More tax cuts for billionaires?

@bill1589 They sure didn't mind adding tax cuts for billionaires to the debt.

@bill1589 There's debt and deficit. If we reduce income by reducing taxes without a corresponding reduction in expenses, the additional deficit gets borrowed and added to the debt. The Rs reduced income in 2017, but did NOT reduce the budget. Their idea was that the tax reduction would spur growth and a resultant increase in GDP. It didn't spur much growth at all and they still didn't reduce (in fact they grew the budget) the budget. They've now tried trickle down four times in my lifetime and IT STILL DOESN'T WORK.

@commonsenseisdead411 You are correct, sir. Term limits. Public ONLY election financing. Set times for campaigning. National election day. FREE government issued voter ID. Let's get more than 2/3 of eligible voters to vote. Equality of polls (no more 6 hour wait times to vote). All of this sounds pretty simple for a first-world nation and Republic.

Hmmmm... And it seems that republicans were not at all interested in this when they had all the power to investigate and prosecute (if warranted). Why do you think this is?
