  6.  @redhathacker  I just noticed that once he was no longer a candidate (no longer a need to prove himself adequate) he lost his fear and became able to communicate normally.

  7.  @redhathacker  I had horrible stage fight as an introverted professional. I had an opportunity to teach part-time at a university...and took it. And was horrible the first semester. Then I learned to have a stage persona much different from my own. I'd think of every lecture as a performance and did quite well, but I always felt I was simply playing a role. Students were always amazed at the difference when meeting me outside the classroom.

  8.  @redhathacker  You could absolutely see he lost his zing. It was probably also about having too many people telling him exactly how to act and what to say. His own brain noise plus so much noise from others always left him looking a bit stunned and uncomfortable. Self-generated pressure build-up every time he spoke showed.
