  2. The control in the senate is just a mirage anyway. The filibuster keeps most important issues from moving forward. It's a double-edged sword though.

  3.  @washablejunk281  I agree we should remove the filibuster. Or at least make them speak for the filibuster length. Make it harder than just saying the word filibuster. It's not in the constitution.

  7. Right after Roe v Wade, the catholics were the only ones interested. Evangelicals really didn't care much. Jerry Falwell made it a focus of the Moral Majority. Fun fact: he forgot to teach those morals to his son.

  8. What you are missing is that this ruling (if it goes as suggested) means that the idea of a right to privacy gets further degraded. By deciding that things in the constitution which are not explicit cannot be implied, they have opened a can of worms. This may not go well.
