  9.  @Fearthekrazy  I love the area around the Green River. Quite a few nice little farms there, although I found them an insular lot. It'd probably take you 40 years or so to be "one of the bunch". Blond hair, green blue eyes, and a maga flag probably wouldn't hurt.

  10.  @Fearthekrazy  Oh I know that. Most of the time it doesn't even come up, and when it does I just ignore the odd self-assuring behavior and chanting. Most of my nearest neighbors have no idea I'm a bleeding heart liberal. Outside of my pride flag, blm flag, Cybertruck, and my tie-dyed hair, no one would even think that. 😉 I actually am a fairly even-handed Independent, or at least I was until 2015. TFG is bonkers.

  19.  @Fearthekrazy  My sil lives in Lakewood. I saw her recently and a point she repeatedly made was how she never experienced the rush hours during her scouting trips to the area. She spends 2 hours a day on the road taking the kids to school and back.

  22.  @Fearthekrazy  Dove Creek "area". Somewhere in the middle of where people aren't. I had some ancestors run off from this area by some boys in blue, so it was important to me to buy it back.

  23.  @Fearthekrazy  Cool. A lot of folks in this area are quite blended. I have a card which makes me a member of a fairly exclusive club. One which my descendants seem likely to lose, if I go by choices they're making. I can suggest looking at farm/ranch land for retirement, if you're anywhere close to it. It doesn't require much effort to qualify and yet can be quite advantageous. I figured I could do something which does keep me busy at times, is a bit satisfying, and comes with some advantages. Everyone has to live somewhere, I learned I don't like having a neighbor 20 feet away.

  24.  @Fearthekrazy  The parts that get me is the ability to excuse all behaviors and actions as "good" in the face of evidence to the contrary. One guy I know even has a noticeable glitch/facial tic if I mention facts contrary to his belief system. Then he continues speaking as if I'd said nothing at all. I learned to not talk politics with him and to have an excuse ready to leave if he starts.

  25.  @Fearthekrazy  Ever wonder about the (ahem) out-of-town Trump supporters evident around here? Sounds like a few different groups have a genuine interest in another Trump term. Most times I think they may not have our best interests at heart.
