  1. 75% of Gazans are under 25. Last election was 2006. Hamas was elected with 40% of the vote. The answer to your question: approximately 10% of Gazans alive today (maybe, although that may be on the high side). Hamas holds Gazans hostage.

  2.  @bobwoods1302  Imprison a people from birth and give them no hope. They will cheer for anything different. Curiously, I happened upon a PBS special in late August or early September which was a series of interviews with just regular people of Gaza. It was an eye-opener. Hamas was wrong and Israel needs to rout them. Having said that, Israel is also wrong in their treatment of Gazans. Two things can be true.

  3.  @AndrewPriester  Ok, but the realities of my post stand true. Not many Gazans alive today voted for Hamas. 75% of Gazans were at most 6 years old at the time of the last election in Gaza.

  5.  @davidblainex14  Because at first Hamas sounded like all politicians do. Hardliners to be sure, but mostly just poltician-speak. They have evolved (devolved?) since the elections.
