  1. For all those who have never taken a chemistry class: cocaine hydrochloride is the name for white powdery cocaine. It can be converted to crack cocaine by mixing in baking soda and water and cooking the mixture until it forms a sheet. The sheet (glass) is shattered into "rocks" for easier packaging and sale.
