  3.  @r32guy10  Here are some interesting facts: California, Illinois and New York by themselves generate more in GDP than almost every other country. The viability of rent control depends on where it is applied. In an area such as Manhattan the loss of rent control would not lead to additional housing. The same is true of San Francisco. There is simply no more room to add additional housing. In areas with remaining growth potential, yes it inhibits the building of additional housing. Context truly is everything.

  6.  @jamesrolan7623  Yes, I do. This Tim Stewart is lying to Fox viewers to enrage them. Only 6% of US oil production is on those federal lease lands. ANWR was closed to leasing in 1980 and those leases never should have been sold. Big Oil had a horrible 2020 with shutdowns and the Russia/Saudi price war. They were under their 2020 profit projections by $80 billion and are trying to make it up as quickly as possible. That's what I stand up for...the truth.

  7. Mr Stewart is misrepresenting the truth. First, only 6% of US production happens on federal land. Second, their coveted ANWR leases were designated off-limits by Congress in 1980. After Trump lost the election, the Trump administration and Big Oil rushed to sell of leases before Biden's inauguration. Those leases never should have been sold.
