@Cupid-Stunt Yes, those numbers are fairly accurate. There are estimates of greater amounts which are usually not included due to the greater expense of extraction. Americans flip out about $4 per gallon, imagine if it were $20 per gallon. <sigh>...I guess we will be subjected to this industry screed until they have: a) drained every last cent from our pockets and b) learned how to better monetize wind and sunlight.

@seemev2.0phuckbootube78 Can you understand that wind and solar, right now, are capable of easing some of the energy generation burden? Fossil fuels are a finite resource. And if you research the given numbers above you will find them accurate. If we do nothing, if we continue to allow these arguments- this fight by the petroleum industry against alternatives- we will be at the mercy of other countries soon enough. All energy sources should be on the table.
