@chipsterb4946 I am referring to childish people who can't/don't want to understand that a disease which is dangerous to some folks is easily spread by those less affected. Stop your whining about some of the attempts to limit contact/spread through limiting social contact. Perhaps look at some of the places people successfully dealt with covid. New Zealand comes to mind. But hey, we have freedumb, amiright? The governmental response here was terrible and the actions of the public were worse. Maybe we should learn something from this to apply to the next viral pandemic???

It should take you a much shorter time to think through why your statement is obtuse. How are viruses transmitted from one human to another? Do they just float away, individually, to infect another person? Of course not, they are carried by ejecta (sneezes, coughs) of mucosal particles of a size larger than 5 microns. Masks work if properly used. It's why surgeons wear them in the surgical theater. Now, we can debate whether the good outweighed the bad, but there are 1.1 million folks who might disagree with your position if they were still alive.

@nredsa Yeah. And wearing a mask so it covers your mouth, but not your nose doesn't work either. Obviously, most folks don't know/don't care how they cough or sneeze. And even when you cough into your arm or shoulder or just away from others, you still eject droplets. That's where the mask comes in handy. It catches those droplets. And yeah, many people wear masks incorrectly. I am accustomed to masks, mainly for protection from toxins, which is a similar yet different use of masks. The maturity level of many of my fellow countrymen is discouraging... But hey: freedumb!, amiright?
