@AngryofMayfair-gi6kz Well, Georgia was one of the ground zero spots of slavery, the confederacy, the klan, etc. Sherman tore through to the sea and they've (well some) never forgiven. If my skin were a shade or two darker, it'd be the last place I'd live.

@stacylee1960 In my world, anyone who uses the vast powers of the presidency to attempt to subvert an election he lost is a traitor. Imagine if Biden loses in November but declares the count is off and tries to keep control. What would he be? Yes, a traitor!

@AngryofMayfair-gi6kz For some reason we have problems we cannot/do not talk about. They relate directly to our country's history. Ignoring them has not solved the issues and for some reason some are too sensitive to acknowledge them. And they directly affect our current societal problems, yet our elephant stays happy and well fed while we fear looking him in the eyes. Well, some do. It is the epitome of a dysfunctional family. Einstein had a theorem about how it is we are dealing with things.

@AngryofMayfair-gi6kz Each sentence in the last post was carefully parsed in order to better maintain the status quo because we wouldn't want a solution, yeah? I have lived a very long time with skin not of my choosing for which I am held fully responsible...to some anyway. Living surrounded by folks who have very little historical knowledge, who are also quite judgemental has been an interesting path in life. Dealing with the resultant ignorant commentary has helped my personal growth tremendously. I no longer need to go Hulk on anyone....ommmm...see? All better.

@AngryofMayfair-gi6kz I referenced Hulk, not hulk. As in "going Hulk"; I spent years transitioning from the mild mannered David Banner into the unreasonably angry and violent Hulk when the slights and injustices wrought by an uneducated and determinedly ignorant populace became too much. Even before my body became too broken for these efforts, I had found peace with and within myself. I no longer believe that path offers the desired results; the results I hope to achieve are by touching the few with my evidence which will at some point become a chain reaction. Or so one can dream. I see the past 7-8 years as a minor relapse necessary to teach greater truths to those open to hear and learn. The beast does not go quietly into the night, but surely it is on its way out. Ebb and flow.
