It was found that Trump had been stealing from his own charitable organization. He received a slap on the wrist for the crime, while others who had done the same received prison sentences of 3, 5, and 10 years. So, yes there is a double standard which Trump has spent his life exploiting.

@wadekaplan9379 Trump was not president the moment Biden was inaugurated. Trump was no longer president and yet was in control of the documents. NARA approached Trump with a "no harm, no foul" offer to retrieve the documents. They were stalled and then rebuffed. They were given some documents, but not others they knew to exist. Hence, the FBI became involved. They found the documents stored insecurely. And then they became aware of recordings of Trump acknowledging he had documents he shouldn't have. Pretty open and shut case.
