How is it that this Lt. Col. is just learning of this by watching a tv broadcast? Not very connected to the war waged by his own army? That is weird.

@sungoddogg Isn't that how Hamas was able to attack in the first place? The IDF did not notice it coming? I'd think they'd be watching carefully these days.

@bjornjwagner7252 I could see that. It seems then that his statement is a clumsy lie if this were true. He shouldn't have answered the call from Fox if he had no good response.

@sungoddogg I don't assume anything. But any army worth its salt would have the arena of battle under constant surveillance, especially during a tenuous ceasefire, don't you think? Is this guy really an LTC? He sure seems available (with a nice camera) to the news media any time they call. But he can't be informed enough about the actual warzone? Gaza is really tiny. The entire country of Israel is pretty small too. Seems like he could spot that from his kitchen window if he was really paying attention.
