  6.  @pkelley44  Yes. It's criminal that we are one of the wealthiest nations on the planet and also have people living on the streets. I know people who work fulltime and yet who live in poverty. Nordic Model democracy/capitalism makes great sense and yet the current US system with all its failures would fight like mad to not allow it. I think Eisenhower had much correct about US governance. Today he'd be seen as a radical liberal. Fox would call him a Marxist...

  7. I think what you mean to say is that abortion in the US is in alignment with 90% of the civilized world. The places which ban it or limit it do so because religion greatly influences the politics. The first amendment of the US Constitution guarantees us freedom of religion which also means freedom from religion. Believe what you like, just don't try to impose your beliefs upon me.

  8. Perhaps not free, but rather a single payer system with government limits on pricing for medications and procedures. I'd much rather pay for our healthcare system than most of the military industrial complex.
