@reneevoydatch3713 Let the loggers have the forest? I grew up in the pacific northwest and saw it devastated in my lifetime. Pristine old-growth forests gone. Is this the future we want to will to our descendants?

Um, I grew up in the pnw. Back in the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s, you couldn't have started a forest fire with a flamethrower.

@reneevoydatch3713 I dunno about Canada, but here in the US, the Forest Service budget has been either stagnant or cut by the same folks who cry about "forest management" every time a wildfire causes havoc. My sister worked for the NFS for about two years. Worst job she every had. Low wages, grunt work, and traveled 50 miles each way to work. And you wonder why no forest maintenance?
