The only reason some Republicans kowtow to them is that the party knows it doesn't have the sheer numbers that the Democrats do. I work around a broad mixture of liberals and conservatives and almost everyone is in disbelief about the crazy wing of Republicans. Folks are exhausted by the antics and want to see helpful legislation.
