  1. Yes...the world has always been in anarchy. It was only just prior to WW1 in the era of great European empires that there was some semblance of order and organization. Now a patchwork of 200 nations have increased the entropy of the global stage.

  2. Common Americans never have wanted to get involved in world affairs. Even support for WW2 was lukewarm until the Japs attacked Pearl Harbor. Today we can see this with Americans lamenting the billions sent to Ukraine instead of addressing domestic issues.
