  1. It's because we are getting older and sequential years occupy smaller portions of our total experience. I read somewhere that mentally our life is half way over at age 18 since the 2nd half of our life zooms by so fast.

I'm talking about when you look back on your life, you will disproportionally remember your childhood compared to adulthood

  17. @Valeria Ferretti It's probably because in the grand scheme of things COVID barely left a dent in our species. Heck, the Spanish Flu was much worse and the Black Death almost apocalyptic scale for Europe back in the day. Most of us continue to live in our shielded bubbles and the only way we know something is wrong is by watching the news.

  19. Its simply a technology issue, not a population one. Our current technology needs warm bodies for labors since automation is not advanced enough. Once robots are advanced population doesnt have to be as big.
