  1. Actually Mr.Z, I have to disagree with you on this one. The Javanese have embarked on a policy of homogenization/replacement of other islanders so I can safely say Indonesian breakup looks less and less likely at time goes on. Additionally the Australians/West would favor Indonesian sovereignty to counter China in the region.

  2. Heck they were brutal to everyone, should be common knowledge nowadays. They did screw up a golden opportunity though. Imagine if they were at least more lenient than the Europeans--the Co-Prosperity Sphere could have lasted.

  3. Actually, I think the fact that they would be powerless non-entities if they broke up actually keeps these islands united. That's the only way they would be relevant on the world stage.
