  1. It makes more sense when you consider that many natives actually sided with the British and helped them subjugate other natives. Especially in India.

  2. One can only wonder what an Africa l without British colonization would look like. Most likely more French and German colonies. The French really got the short end of the stick, since their African holdings were mostly desert.
