Interesting video! Every community should hire you and we would improve this country one place at a time.

Great video on a great city! I'm from the Seattle area and enjoyed the waterfront many times. I haven't been back for years. Maybe the next time I'm able to visit, this project will be completed. I'm interested to see how it turns out.

@siefer117 Ooohh, I've been exposed! What a brash, provocative investigator you are.
1
@soundscape26 It was until you came along. You just now single-handedly ruined YouTube forever.
1
@siefer117 Don't come for me because your mom already came for me last night

@thomaswalsh4552 There's both cooperation and competition within humans and across all of nature. But especially since cities, hierarchy, and social stratification. Some people get a skewed sense of history and human nature by viewing the world through modern, civilized, or capitalist lenses.

Parks and Rec! "You just got jammed!"

This great video on the city level of wildfire design/planning is a perfect companion to @Andrew Millison's video on the individual home level of "Permaculture Design for Wildfire Defense". I would love to see a collaboration between your two channels about integrating eco/permaculture design at all levels. @Andrew Millison's permaculture video: https://youtu.be/y_HEHlE-_dE

I enjoyed going to school in Olympia and I've enjoyed visiting other west coast college towns: Bellingham, Corvallis, Eugene, Arcata, Davis, Santa Cruz, SLO, and Isla Vista/Goleta. Although I've never lived in one. I wish I could live in all of them! Been to Pullman but definitely wouldn't live there. Wow, I've been to quite a few college towns. I hadn't realized.

What a fun and unique video format! I loved it. Great video on one of the best cities on the planet. It really makes me nostalgic for the Northwest! But now the whole area is so expensive that I don't know if I can afford to move back.
1
Another awesome video! I love these history heavy ones! And I love the Catan footage!
1
Very interesting concept and video! Hopefully more cities will adopt public ridesharing. I was just in Pasadena for work.

Dear City Beautiful -- Cool video! Two fascinating Fresno places and history (if you're interested) -- Forestiere Underground Gardens! And the Chinatown Underground Tunnels! Both of which Fresno didn't care to preserve, and actually demolished most of. But at least we have what we have left.
1
I've always wanted to live near or in the forest. I'm questioning that now with all these wildfires. I dislike living in this desert valley but ironically the hottest place has so far been the safest from the wildfires.

Great points!

Interesting video! I've been to Redmond a few times. I can't recall if I've been to the Redmond Towne Center, but there is something similar in Lakewood, WA, a suburb of Tacoma. I it's even called Lakewood Town Center.

@lunalinda9906 You're welcome! It gets a little conspiracy theory-y, but super intriguing and interesting, and changed how I look at cities, architecture, and history. Thanks and take care!
1
Yes, Fresno! I laughed at us being a role model, though. The city and government have always been so backwards. We're finally making some positive changes in terms of city planning and design. Although trying to cancel Art Hop and criminalizing our unhoused community shows that we're still pretty backwards.
1
@AndrewOjeda Lol yeah, the public transit is still kinda bad. And Fresno as a role model? We're so backwards!
1
@gorgthesalty Lol, yeah the transit is still not the best.

@ryanburbridge true

Toward a Solarpunk future!

Fresno, California (not Fresno, Texas) also has a show named after it It's called "Fresno."
1
@tortellinifettuccine Are you talking about half cents? That's no longer made or circulated as currency, but it's a collectible.
1
@tortellinifettuccine Can you share a link? Apparently they don't exist anywhere on the internet
1
@tortellinifettuccine or is this a joke? lol
1
I attended HempFest at that park years ago and it was a great time. It's a nice park.
1
Yes, The Simpsons! It applies to every possible situation.
1
Awesome video! Wow, you went to Cornell? Do you know Andy Bernard?
1
I was born in that hospital on the Fairfax, VA map
1
@Game_Hero I could see that
1
Awesome! It would be so great to see a collab on Permaculture Neighborhoods with Andrew Millison! https://youtu.be/9R-fAc0wl10

LOL -- no Oxford comma??? Great video!
1
Amazing LOTR reference!
1
Great video! Have you read Ecotopia by Ernest Callenbach? Awesome book. I was reminded of it by this video, and it may give you planning inspiration that is care-free, people/pedestrian-centered, and sustainable.
1
I wonder what the carbon footprint of Bill Gates' 65,000 square foot mansion is. I'm sure having one and buying all the farmland is a great way to avoid a climate disaster.
1
Imagine how many unhoused people could fit in those mansions. They don't need all that space, especially if they're breaking the law.
1
Just earlier today, I saw a cat run by outside my work, and I thought of the Matrix. Now this glitch.

Awesome video!

@ottovonbass-mark5424 ?
1
@ottovonbass-mark5424 Oh cool, thank you so much! There are some great educators online who explain and demonstrate the topics better than I do, so I use them often! You're awesome for watching mr beat!

Ba Sing Se!

Yeah Fresno! Also, I'm gonna be in your town this weekend for my anniversary and again in May to see Rilo Kiley!!! Have you had Ziggy's?! We're addicted to their Korean Fried Cauliflower, and we go there every time we're in town, and once we drove to SLO just for Ziggy's and a quick trip to the beach.
1
Yes! Office Space! I've been watching that over and over for weeks now -- while I work lol. You reference the best movies and shows!
1
Awesome and fascinating video! I love the idea of circular and utopian communities. I also would have liked to see your take on The Venus Project. Also, what about Ba Sing Se?!
1
Sim City was great! Yes, Paolo Soleri and Arcosanti! Awesome video. Interesting concept. I love the aesthetic of green/eco/sustainable arcologies with plants everywhere. Do underground cities count as arcology? Is a Stanford Torus a type of arcology or is it technically different? Great video! I would love to see your take on floating cities next!
1
I like college towns. I wonder how European college towns compare. My parents stayed in Montpelier, France, which has a medical school from the 12th century.
1
In Times Square there is a sign for The Good Place. I love that show! It was so amazing!
1
Please do floating cities! Thank you for your channel!
