@eisenigel6065 i stopped reading after you said yeltsin saved russian economy
160
@eisenigel6065 that doesn’t make any sense... the unemployment could only occur if communist system collapsed first, it wouldn’t be the other way around bc communism guarantees jobs
50
@eisenigel6065 whatever putin’s ideology is, he fixed the russian economy and yeltsin did not. search up russian gdp and gdp per capita; you’ll see it stagnated under yeltsin and greatly increased around 2000 when putin took power
45
@eisenigel6065 that’s nice and all but putin isn’t socialist
43
@eisenigel6065 democracy doesn’t work in russia. it’s not within the country’s culture and national character, the same way it doesn’t fit with middle east and china. russia is too large, no mercantile tradition, no history of social liberalism ever since mongols invaded. it’s also within russias interest to stay authoritarian. otherwise it becomes either a puppet of the west, ruled by the communist party again, or ruled by the fascist party.
42
@eisenigel6065 i’m sorry but data doesn’t match your analysis: if you search russian gdp, you’ll see a timeline where russian economy was stagnating until 1999, and continued growing afterwards. indeed, russian economy dipped slightly after 2008 but then rebounded. it was in 2013 that russian gdp finally surpassed italy’s, there was no stagnation like you said. russian economy only declined after 2014, meaning it wasn’t nationalization but western sanctions over crimea that stopped growth. however, since then russia is recovering again as europe depends more and more on russian gas and oil.
29
@eisenigel6065 it’s still growing unlike what you lied. and the “slow” growth isn’t caused by putin but by the communists who screwed russia’s demographics. putin became prime minister in 1999 actually, growth continued under him since then. there was dip in 2008 not because kasyanov left, but because of great recession which affected most countries, not just russia. even so, if it’s because of kasyanov, explain why russian economy grew again after recession and overtook italy’s economy until sanctions hit?
23
@eisenigel6065 read my comment again
22
@eisenigel6065 its not really stagnating, it’s rebounding; it went from a gdp of 1.2 trillion in 2016 to over 1.7 trillion now. that’s a similar growth rate to usa.

same logic with india and english, yet india still speaks english. so why should algeria be any speak english?
7
@atengku9660 quebecois will not let french die in canada. french is rising in africa, the countries that are seeing the most population growth there are francophone. even guinea-bissau nigeria ghana equatorial guinea are learning french, and they were not colonized by french. once globalism diminishes only former british colonies will speak english
5
Get rid of your caste system first before mocking another culture
5
@atengku9660 then explain why 20% of canada’s anglophone population speaks french. and please read my actual passage again, i said english will decline with the decline of globalization in the future, while french will rise due to third world population growth rates in francophone countries.
3
Get france out of africa
2
@the84don i can’t argue with that but you said algeria shouldn’t speak french just because of history
2
@atengku9660 people also associate french with canada haiti algeria senegal
2
@atengku9660 false

@__Man__ you conveniently forgot that non-french colonies like guinea-bissau, ghana, and equatorial guinea are learning french quickly
