  1. Whether blind-bidding contributes to affordability is besides the point - it's an unfair practice that can be easily manipulated on both sides to push false value on a property. Think of this - would you use eBay if when you bid on an item, you had no idea what the other bids were – and worse, eBay was your only option? The real estate industry likes to borrow terms from "auction industry" - but they don't play by the same rules.
