  10. I don't buy anything unless I examine it first, except for books. I also never buy any Apple products. With a 400-500% markup, they would easily make a killing if their products were produced in Antarctica. Apple would still rake in megabucks if its factories were in the USA.

  17. I've seen that happen many times in Taiwan. A greedy landlord raises the rent, the business closes or moves, and the storefront sits empty, sometimes for a year or more.

I've been to China many times (and Hong Kong more times than I can count) and loved the people, culture, and scenery, but not since Pooh seized power. I dare not return. That's a shame, because Hong Kong used to be my favorite city on Earth.
