Comments by "xia en Gao" (@gaoxiaen1) on "How can Ukraine make greater progress against well-fortified Russian positions? | DW News" video.
It took the Allies that landed on Normandy from June 6, 1944 to July 31st, 1944 to defeat Germans in the bocage and break out of Normandy to start fighting in the surrounding areas. The Allies had air superiority, more men, and better logistics. The West, Ukraine, and NATO shouldn't expect that "You only have to kick in the door and the whole rotten structure will come crashing down!""

That video is great, but I can't find the whole thing. Ukraine needs to put it on YouTube. It would go viral! Also, Aliona Hlivco is eloquent, erudite, and eye-catching.

@braxxian Russians bumble everything they do. They're losing hardware and sending in cannon fodder. Ukraine is getting better tanks, more anti-aircraft and anti-missile systems, cluster munitions, and well-trained troops are moving to the front. Russia is reconditioning ancient tanks pulled out of a junkyard and grabbing sickly old uneducated untrained drunks off the street ad giving them antique weapons and uniforms, but they're still wearing sneakers instead of boots. 3% of Russian conscripts are dying from alcohol withdrawal. Soon Ukraine will be getting F-16s and Grippens. Ukraine morale is high while military-age men are emmigrating. The more men Putin sends to catch a bullet, the fewer he has to support the economy. Russia barely has any support from the BRICS. Ukraine has the support of most of the world. Russia ha a lot of old artillery that wastes ammo. Ukraine has high-accuracy artillery. Bunker Grandpa sends out body doubles to try (unsuccessfully) to boost morale and is purging his officer corps because he can't trust his closest "friends", while Zelensky shows up near the front lines to rally the troops and award medals. Russia has so many problems that I could write a book. Yeah, Ukraine is moving slowly forward, but Russia is slowly retreating. Soon the Red Army... er... Russian Army will break and run.
