Outstanding work CSS. I never understood why NASA awarded space X the contract. Now i know....

DOGE should do a investigation right now! this seems like a awfull wastefull way to spend taxdollars

The YT thumbnail is great by the way. Bezos smirking and Musk angry like a little child.

The last NASA and industry partners teleconference was very insightful. Jessica Jensen from spaceX didn't even give one straight answer, she was in ass covering overdrive. Basically claiming that everything they do on Flacon 9 is the Same for starship. Also claiming they are now in the flight prototyping phase and they can fly as many times as they want. This is just a bald face lie given the permit they have at Boca Chica restricts them from flying more than 10 times a year.

In other news.. Blue origin's New Glenn launched flawlessly (the launchpad was not destroyed) it didnt explode 4 min in, during te assent it didnt loose any engines and parts didnt fall off. It reached orbit with a ACTUAL payload.

Was going to re-watch it earlier this day but i couldn't find it. Good to see it re-uploaded.

We have simplified this allot, Starship is basically glorified fireworks now every 3 to 4 months or so, which is actually way more profound than it sounds.

NASA has a long and very well recorded history in looking the other way until things go bad. Once it becomes painfully obvious the Mission architecture (Starship/superheavy in this case) is not going to work and/or is going to fall short of what was promised and is going way over budget only then will NASA investigate the situation with a committee. Since Lueders is on the other side of the fence now we might see her being investigated to since she signed of on spacex's proposal for HLS. This is years down the road. It is sad Billions of US tax dollars are being wasted developing some useless rocket/starship. One thing is clear now, real engineers and not some YouTube influences are seeing the flaws in the architecture now. What Destin did was not naming the elephant in the room directly but he called out how ludicrous this mission profile is.

In a order of magnitude the front falling off was quasi-infante, actually quite profound that front falling off.

@markweatherill When Ross sniffs the chair is ultimate koolaide cult

U are right on the money with your Tesla and SpaceX video's a lonely voice in the wilderness u are.

And still Tim Dodd remains one of the most loyal Musk fans out there. Still believing in and spreading the cult of Musk and SpaceX. After all Tim is going to the Moooooon! as he cheered on when IFT 1 and 2 blew up.

Even the spaceshuttle a much more complicated vehicle launched and landed succesfull on the first try in 1981.

The reason no press was at this update is because he doesn't want any critical questions to be asked in public.

@zoranocokoljic8927 Somebody once said ''the best part is no part''. He doesn't even stick to his own philosophy.

The people in the crowd are genuinely not amused being there.. they are rubbing their faces, changing their stance turning around looking at each other. This is anything but an engaged audience.

Thanks for the explanation!

40:14 Hold on. Since 2019 they have been claiming that starship/superheavy is capable of a 100 metric tons to LEO. All the Musk and spacex sycophants have been repeating this. Now after IFT3 it has been revised to about halve the payload capacity 50 tons. This is ridiculous, it is clear they have grossly overestimated the performance of the vehicle. This was obvious when IFT3 failed to reach orbit even without a payload and its fuel tanks were nearly depleted. But now Starship V2 is going to make good on that promise by maker it bigger and attaching unproven and redesigned Raptor V3's. This system with its endless re-designs and re configuring is basically dead on arrival. They have pissed away 3 billion dollars of taxpayer money on their R&D. This could have been prevented if their design was sound from the very beginning.. NASA and Kathy Lueders have dropped the ball here big time.

CGI physics makes people belive everything these days

Blue Origin and ULA already beat spaceX in getting the first Methane fueled engine to orbit on their first try.
