I'm a proud Chinese who's born and raised in Taiwan, and now a proud Chinese American who really admire my ancestor's homeland, lifting over 600 million people from poverty to middle class within the last 30 years, no other country has ever accomplish this daunting task in human history. Sally is a confused Taiwanese separatist and in time, will either realize her mistake or will have to answer to the vast majority of Chinese people all over the world. Unity is what makes a country and its people strong. There are also small groups of extremists in the US who desire their own territory, imagine that!

  13. Tahuan Tinsuyo yeah, every country in Asia that prospered after WWII, i.e. Japan, Taiwan, S. Korea, Singapore, all made a deal with America and got help. The only exception is that Taiwan has no US military base. And it never will. People in Taiwan should be proud of that fact.

  14. Tahuan Tinsuyo No one knows it better than me.  I was born and raised in Taiwan, my grandparents on both sides came from China after the civil war. I now split my time between China and the US so I'm in the middle of it all and I see it all first hand. I believe that one China is the key to prosperity for all Chinese people, regardless you're in China, Taiwan, HK, or elsewhere.

Tahuan Tinsuyo Chinese foreign policy currently mandates the country's rise as a global superpower peacefully.  That's why you won't see China forming any "strategic alliance" agreement with Russia or anyone else no matter how close we are.  One of the biggest reasons for China's unprecedented economic growth in the last 30 years is that there's no war involving China since 1949 (civil war). And China will do whatever it takes to avoid a war or using force on anyone. This is a mentality the US and other western nations do not understand. The true power in the 21st century lies in trade and economic development, not weapons.
