To me, it seems like the 80's was the last great decade of music. The was a serious downturn in the talent of bands and the quality of music, with the exception of a few bands, in the 90's. 90's music wasn't "fun" to listen to. It was very drab, depressing and boring. You had bands making millions of dollars and all they wanted to talk about was how horrible their life was. Bands had more interaction staring at their shoes than they did with the crowds that paid money to see them. Music has always been an escape from reality for me. It can change my whole mood. The mood of the 90's, and since then, has been darker and it isn't so much an escape anymore. I listen to more artists from Europe than I do the USA, anymore.
