I think if everyone had a healthy fear of great whites (and sharks in general), meaning they were concerned enough about them that they would monitor local conditions (fish migrations, whale carcasses, etc.), like those things mentioned in this video that indicate a greater possibility of the presence of sharks in the area, the number of attacks would diminish. We humans tend to become complacent far too easy.
