Because guns have been in the US for a very long time and mass shootings were extremely rare until probably 10 years ago. Almost every mass shooter has the same upbringing yet everyone ignores it and goes after guns

@UnknownUser32100 People will still obtain them illegally. Everything starts at home and until the problem is addressed this will keep happening. Look at the interview they did with the killers mother and you'll get your answer on why this happened

@UnknownUser32100 California is proof that doesn't work. And yes as long as they keep charging a murderer with 2 murders when they kill a pregnant woman then it should be illegal.
