@jessefisher1809 No they wanted the help but they didn't wish to put effort to help themselves. That's why they got conquest in such short time and now they are being beheaded for their sins of being passive and not fighting for their own rights.

Doesn't work like that. If your country is not self-reliant then it's bound to be shitty economy. Also You're delusional if you think that heavily authoritarian country with government that represses it's people would have flourishing economy even if trading was allowed.
