@onetimeoccam actually it does translate to their life improvement. Compare life level in chile to what it's in rest of the south america... Chileans are rich in comparison. Or do you think that eating neighbors dogs and grass is sign of being rich?

@pallascat1743 Embargo is just excuse. They already had financial struggles before it, and those embargo did only target the politicians and the rich in Venezuela. Socialism always leads into lack of diversifying and deep culture of corruption. What do you expect when politicians control and own all? xD

@americaninternationalist1917 It was because of cold war. His intention was to outspend in military more than USSR. Thus USSR responded by spending more. USA could afford it but communists couldn't thus they faced total collapse. Regan was a hero of humanity.
