  1. How they were suppose to know? Well wasn't it obvious since the first time you saw that lord who betrayed them that you can't trust him. War is about deceptions and even starks did deception tricks in war. This just means that they didn't do good job on intel. In fact pretty much every soldier in that bridge knew that they are going to kill stars. Decent spy would've easily discover plot like that.

  2. People you like dying in game of thrones, big fucking surprise. Interesting though if I would've been in shoes of starks. I would've done same to that lord who betrayed them. In fact I would've done that in the first time I met him. Simply because he broke his oath and was obviously untruthful person. Still why people are so shocked? After first season nothing should shock anyone anymore.
