@johncronin9540 Electoral college is actually democratic. President isn't suppose to represent 2-3 big states with large population size. He is suppose to represent all the state. Which is why he is elected on basis of state vote. Without electoral college, there wouldn't be America. There would be just 50 different countries all hating each others.

That is the reason why borders are now filled with illegals. Laws are too lax and borders are not secure enough. Which means cities and states will have following problems: 1. Less jobs available hence lower salaries. 2. Less houses available, hence increase in homelessness. While cost of housing increases. 3. Increase of upkeep cost on infrastructure and other social spending projects. 4. Increase in crime 5. destablization of the society. 6. Increase of xenophobia. etc...

It was confederation of several different states who decide to unite ONLY if all states would have equal right to say how the confederation is run. Without Electoral college, states with megacities would dictate how people in other states should live their lives. It's not anti-democratic. It's democracy among DIFFERENT STATES.
